OWNER OF A LONELY HEART, bisa dikatakan sebagai lagu wajib untuk para musisi rock dan penikmat lagu rock di penjuru dunia, dekade '80an. Hampir di setiap konser-konser musik rock yang digelar, OWNER OF A LONELY HEART menjadi sajian wajib.

Siapa sih yang tidak kenal dengan YES, band beraliran progresive rock asal London Inggris yang sudah menelurkan puluhan album studio maupun album kompilasi. YES dibentuk di Inggris pada 1968, masih eksis sampai sekarang, walau pun sudah sering bongkar pasang personel. Dengan personel Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, dan Alan White.

OWNER OF A LONELY HEART, diambil dari album ke-11 yang bertitel 90125. Album yang dirilis pada 14 November 1983 ini, merupakan album pertama YES, setelah 3 tahun vakum sejak 1980.

OWNER OF A LONELY HEART, yang ditulis sang gitaris Trevor Rabin, berhasil menduduki puncak tertinggi Billboard Hot 100 Number One Single, dari 21 - 28 Januari 1984.
